The Long Check Coat

Daring to wear a long garment can be hard, especially if you’re a petite girl like me !
I’m usually a bit afraid of looking like a child who borrowed her mother’s clothes. So, when I stumble upon a long piece that fits well, i’m really happy !
It was the case with this long check coat from H&M. I tried it, spent a week thinking “maybe not… maybe yes?”, and when I saw it again in the store I knew I had to get it. I can say now that it was definitely an awesome decision.
The coat itself isn’t actually that long, I’m actually so small that it looks quite long on me ! But that’s what I was looking for. I’m 1 m 57 (5’2 ft), so if you’re as short as me and you’re looking for this kind of long-but-not-too-long coat, I highly recommend this one ! But if you’re just a normal sized human being, I also recommend it since it’s a nice coat overall. The fabric is soft but stiff enough, the details are stylish, and it makes a dull outfit look instantly trendy.
I chose to wear this during my stay in Brussels (click here to read my 2 Days In Brussels post !), I thought the classic European surroundings were going well with the style of that outfit.
