I haven’t done my 5 May Favorites on the 28th as I always do, because the 28th of May was the French Mother’s Day ! So we spent all day with my mother on a boat trip, it was really nice (i’m preparing a post about it).

Anyways sorry about the delay, here are my May Favorites !
1. I Subscribed to the Gym
Some weeks ago, I subscribed to the gym with my boyfriend. I was already going to the University gym (it counted as a sports class), but since school stopped I didn’t have a place anymore to work out ! Victor also felt like he needed to exert himself, his exams aren’t over yet and he’s doing his best, but he wanted a place where he could blow off steam. The gym where we go is called Neo Ness (it’s in Paris of course), and it’s really big, it has three floors with different machines and tools. I really like the fact that there are no mirrors in there, they say it’s so you don’t feel ashamed of yourself if you don’t like your body, but also to not encourage exaggerated narcissism. I think it’s really cool !
2. Marzia’s Floral Box

3. Off the Shoulder Top Trend
I am so in love with this trend ! I already bought two off the shoulder pieces, and I have to restrain myself from buying more. Here is a selection of off the shoulder tops I’d really like to add to my wardrobe (if I were rich and lived in a palace of course).

4. Learning How to Pierce a Wall
Since we needed to fix various things to the wall, we both learned how to make a hole into the wall with a drill. Here you can see we fixed to the wall a foldable table, so Victor can have his own desk ! We live in a very small place, there wasn’t enough space to have a regular desk, so we had to be creative ! ⚒️
5. Rick and Morty
Not everyone might like this one, but we’ve finished season 1 and 2 of Rick and Morty, and it was so awesome ! This is a show made by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Cartoon Network, but it is aired late at night (rated TV-14 around the internet). If you don’t enjoy dark/yucky humour, or are easily offended by these kind of jokes, I guarantee you’ll hate it. This show is crazy, gross, rude, yet brilliant, just imagine a mix between Doctor Who, Adventure Time, and South Park : that’s what Rick and Morty is.

I also wish I could go to the gym regularly, but they’re so expensive here in London!

Thank you Jasmine ! ? Yes Marzia’s goodies were awesome ! I get the struggle, most gyms in Paris are expensive too ! But this one is new and luckily hasn’t raised its prices yet ? How much would you pay in London for that ? I’m curious ?
You’re welcome! 🙂 A membership is normally about £30 per month, and with more special facilities can be even more! It’s a little out of my budget as a student haha x
Oh wow thats kind of expensive yeah ? In Paris I pay 27€ which means ~£23. Well, you can still run outside and exercise at home, but for me the laziness would strike very often ?

How funny. We were just having a conversation recently about the “off the shoulder” trend. Despite being of the slightly *cough* more mature persuasion, I actually like my shoulders, but I cannot get on with these tops. I can’t find one that stays put!! I know the struggle, with those you can’t move around much ! Maybe try to find one made out of elastic fabric ? That way it’ll be more flexible and will extend instead of moving !out of place ?
Congrats on a busy month!! ? my biggest accomplishment was a tire between my annual trip to Banff and making it through the busiest time at work in one piece ? I think focusing on your accomplishments each month is awesome!!

I loooove off the shoulder tops, but I get so annoyed that I can’t lift my arms above my waist or they pop up 🙂 I also think it’s great that you learned how to drill a hole in the wall– that opens up sooo many possibilities for DIY projects! Great accomplishments!
Yeah I didn’t think about this problem before wearing one of those ? But after some time I get used to it ! And yes drilling holes is awesome, you can basically do what you want ! ?

I love the off the shoulder trend too! How many off the shoulder tops do you think is too many? Because I can’t stop buying them haha!
It is never too many, buy everything ! ? I’m exactly that way when it comes to stuff I like, “fortunately” I have bills to pay and a student income so I never have enough to buy too much ! ?
