I’m not at all about new resolutions when the New Year starts, but I’m really into getting more organized.
Resolutions aren’t really a thing for me, since if I want to change something in my life I’ll just do it all year long, but I won’t find something to change for the sake of the new year. On the other hand I decided around two years ago to be more tidy in general. So now when the new year comes, I do or get certain things to begin the new year with a fresh start.
Let me show you what keeps me organized all year long !
✘ GET A PLANNER ON YOUR WALL
I always get a new planner to start the year. Last year I had a weekly planner, and this year I’m going to try out a monthly one ! I write down exams, appointments, deadlines, projects… wall planners are great because with just a glance you know what’s coming up for the next weeks, that way you’ll be able to anticipate if anything comes up !
Monthly Planner : HEMA
✘ REORGANIZE YOUR WORKING SPACE
Who likes to work in a messy space, where you don’t know where is that specific pen you’re looking for? I hate it, but unfortunately I’m a VERY messy person. So I need to cheat with a great organization tip : Drawer Organizers.
They’re amazing because with the drawers you can categorize your stationery items, and there’s no mess because they’re always closed !
3 Drawer Organizer : Amazon
✘ GET A DAILY SCHEDULER
To complement the Weekly/Monthly Planner, get a small scheduler to take with you everywhere, so when you need to write down something you just planned, take out your scheduler, and later at home copy the new event on your wall planner !
Scheduler : HEMA
✘ USE NOTEBOOKS
Cute notebooks are always useful and help keeping your mind tidy : make some lists, write down ideas, keep track of habits … or even make a bullet journal ! The possibilities are endless.
Personally I started to use this notebook with white pages to draw some makeup ideas, as I’m too lazy to try them out on myself (what can I say ? I know I’m lazy).
✘ DO SOME CLOSET REORGANIZATION
Go through your closet, and make three pile of clothes : one to keep, one to give/sell, and one to throw away. I love fashion and getting new clothes, especially when the January sales are here. But I need to get rid of the clothes that I don’t wear that often to keep the closet organized, and to make space for the new fashion finds !
✘ EMBARK ON A PROJECT !
A new year is a great occasion to get a new objective, think of new projects, and carry them out ! Having a project keeps you motivated to be more organized for its sake. For me it’s my blog, but it can be a decoration idea, getting new skills, challenging yourself at work… anything !
I hope that you enjoyed this post !
What are your own organization tips ? ?

I love a wall planner (especially for uni seasons!) My mum bought me a planner/diary kind of thing for Christmas this year from a kickstarter campaign. It’s a little bit like a ready made bullet journal and helps you to set daily, weekly and block goals. It helps to track food, exercise, health, water consumption and loads of other things. I’ve found it super handy so far, just hope I keep it up for the year! xoxo

Thats so cool ! I’ve seen some of those online, they look really practical ? Thanks for stopping by ! ?

Some great tips here – i will definitely be taking them on board this year! I can’t not have a calendar or wallplanner hung up, I never remember any appointments without it!
Oriana says
Thank you Monica ! ? Me neither haha, those planners are awesome ! ?

I like a calendar where I can see the whole month at a glance also. I started a bullet journal over a year ago and it keeps me on track with weekly items like meditation, weights etc. I want to check off. Yes to getting organized and new projects (love them!!!) to 2018 and looking forward to seeing what you get up to.

I’m impressed at anyone who can make a bullet journal ! I’d need days to make one myself. But it’s indeed an awesome organization tool ! ?

Great suggestions! I used to have fifty-million notebooks and planners scattered about my house. Lists on lists on lists. But I just started using a bullet journal instead, and I can proudly say I’m down to one work planner, one meal calendar, and my bullet journal!
Oriana says
That’s a perfect organisation combo ! ? I know I’ll eventually end up using a bullet journal, waiting for your next post about it ! ?

Love all of your ideas! I recently revamped my desk, but I keep dumping things on it, so just need to keep it tidy! Also where is that self-love jumper from? I love it xx
Oriana says
Hahaha, I also do this, we need to discipline our minds ! ? The jumper is from a brand called C&A, but I don’t think it exists in the UK ?

I’m right there with you on the whole new year’s resolutions thing – I like to hold myself accountable all year long and make changes as I go! However, I do love buying a new planner and notebooks for a fresh year and getting my goals planned!

Thanks for all the tips, I am very methodical and organized and everything does need their own little space on my small small desk, just wish I had a bigger area to call my workspace, but alas, you make do with what you have and enjoy it, I have tweeted this.
Oriana says
A bigger space always makes everything easier ! As someone living in a big city I have a really small home and therefore working space, so I can completely relate to what you say ! Thank you for sharing ??

Always like organizing! Notebooks -yes I have one spare in the car and another spare near my desk – to write in details of ideas.
De-clutter is my go-to word when I want to get it all together!
